My new baby kittens like to help with typing! Now I have an excuse for all my typos. The orange male is Bowie and the tabby female is Havarti. Havarti was her shelter name but I’m leaning toward Nefertiti, Titi for short. They have brought me so much joy in one short week.
Pets are the best! I have two chihuahua mixes, both shelter dogs. Floyd was a stray and Hank came from an animal horde. I would kill or die for those little bastards.
They are such wonderful company.

Bowie’s shelter name was Cheddar and the whole litter was named after cheeses. Now I realize Havarti is a Danish cheese!
I would keep Havarti, but that’s just because we have a foster dog named Roxanne who was a hoarder dog and is very scared and sometimes hard to deal with, and that includes giving her pills because of her bad genetics. The one thing we can always count on to wrap the pills in his Havarti. She never turns down the Havarti.
Really! That is neat. As soon as I had almost decided to change her name, it began to feel more natural to call her Havarti. She is both a lover and a fighter, mostly a lover. Bowie is a big goofball. He’s not getting the hang of the litter box at all. But he’s so cute I can forgive him anything. At least for now.
