Still don’t like Godard or his films. Sub-title is “The Children of Marx and Coca-Cola” which about sums up the conversation here.

Don Knotts generally cracks me up. Here he does his nervous schtick but it all seemed like a dated sitcom. I’ve discovered this is a beloved movie from childhood for a lot of people and your mileage may vary.

Damn! I thought there was a 1966 movie called “Godard and Mr. Chicken”! And I really wanted to read a review of it and then see if it was on YouTube!
Godard has grown on me over the years. By the time I saw Masculine/Feminin (a year ago maybe?), I had learned to appreciate and enjoy his films. I liked Masculin/Feminin a lot more as it went along and I liked the French pop soundtrack. And the ending was very satisfying.
I got a kick out of the scene in the movie theater and I want to yell “Trotskyite!” next time I’m at the movies and someone is telling one of the other patrons to shush.
I’ve never seen The Ghost and Mr. Chicken but I remember that it seemed to be on TV a lot when I was a kid.
Hell, even I would watch a movie called “Godard and Mr. Chicken”. And that’s a great line to pull out any time really!
