I’ve been unable to find much information about this decent poverty-row production.
Dan Adams works for the District Attorney and loses the prosecution of a man for insurance fraud. It turns out he threw the case because the defendant was his brother. He resigns his position and gets a job with an insurance company(!) to flush out the big wheels behind the false claim ring, which has been operating under the front of an interior decorating business. Along the way he falls in love with a claims adjuster. The audience’s expectations are not challenged by the plot.

Easy Money is not a bad little police procedural type story, though nothing to write home about. This was the kind of thing that developed into film noir in the 40’s when the German immigrant directors got their hands on it. I caught it on Amazon Prime Watch Instant for free.

Haven’t seen this one but I wish I had. My weakness…….the low budget film. And it is from Invincible Pictures Inc….that must have really been a low budget company since I thought I knew them all but Invincible is new to me.
These films are such fun and I love to watch for a glimpse of the microphone or shaky walls/doors or chalk marks on the floor. So bad they are good and most are like that. There are some that are just plan awful with no redeeming qualities but this one appears that it does have something going for it.
I thought this one was pretty solid for what it was. I never heard of Invincible either. The film was distributed by our friends at Republic.
What does that guy have in his hand?…….an umbrella gun, a ray gun……..what is that????
I have no idea! I thought it was some type of primitive machine gun though admittedly I have never seen anything like it.
